Discover the world of the armed forces

The Xplore room in the Dutch National Military Museum has been upgraded! The space is aimed at young children and introduces them to the armed forces in a playful way. In addition to the physical play equipment in the space, Kiss the Frog has designed and developed two interactive games in collaboration with Shosho. The museum's original request was to renew four existing simulators. During the design process, we came up with a command center where the three vehicles (a chinook, a tank, and a submarine) carry out an operation. The original horse game remained as a separate setup, with a new game in a new 3D world. At the command centre, different players can contribute to the operation at three game stations. There are a total of nine missions to complete Operation Tornado and defeat the enemy. The course can be followed on a central table projection for the players but also for the spectators, who can also assume an advisory role. The horse game is there mainly for the younger children. Kids can sit on a physical horse in front of a projection of the game world. Through movements on the saddle, the horse can be directed to a castle to bring a letter to the queen. The fastest route must be taken to avoid a closed castle gate!
